PLEXUS MA2030

Main features

  • 30-32 Minute Work Time
  • 0.75-38 mm Structural Gaps
  • 90-125% Cured Elongation

Product Description

Plexus MA2030 White is a two-part 10:1 methacrylate structural adhesive for thermoplastic, metal and composite assemblies with an extended assembly window. At 23.9 deg C, typical work time is 30-32 minutes. The adhesive fills gaps from 0.75 to 38 mm, with final gap capability dependent on laminate thickness and composition. After cure, typical tensile strength is 20.7-23.4 MPa, tensile modulus is 621-827 MPa and elongation at break is 90-125%. Typical aluminum lap-shear strength is 12.4 MPa.

Key features

  • 30-32 minute work time: Typical work time is 30-32 minutes at 23.9 deg C.
  • Structural gaps from 0.75 to 38 mm: The adhesive fills gaps from 0.75 to 38 mm, subject to laminate thickness and composition.
  • 90-125% cured elongation: Typical elongation at break is 90-125%, with tensile strength of 20.7-23.4 MPa.

Applications

Structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals and composites; composite bonding in marine and transportation assemblies.

Elongation
Elongation is the process of lengthening something. It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks. It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break.
90 - 125 %
