Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses
Main features
- High-Speed Electromechanical Lubrication
- Plastic and Rubber Interface Fit
- Low-Friction Contact Performance
Product Description
MOLYKOTE PG-65 Plastislip Grease is a light-consistency synthetic hydrocarbon grease with lithium soap and solid lubricants for high-speed electromechanical friction contacts. It is used across plastic/plastic, plastic/metal, plastic/rubber, and metal/rubber interfaces. Compatible material examples include PET, HDPE, PTFE, nylon, PBT, NBR, PIB, polyurethane, and neoprene. Typical properties include a coefficient of friction of 0.05 in a steel-ball/plastic test, water washout of 2.5% at 80 deg C, and a useful temperature range of -55 to 130 deg C. Application methods include brush, grease gun, and automatic dispensing.
Key features
- High-Speed Electromechanical Use: The grease is intended for gears, switches, cable controls, motors, gearboxes, sunroofs, and HVAC mechanisms.
- Plastic and Rubber Interfaces: The formulation is used for plastic/plastic, plastic/metal, plastic/rubber, and metal/rubber contacts.
- Low Friction Performance: The typical coefficient of friction is 0.05 with a steel ball, plastic substrate, 6.3 N load, and 10 mm/s rate.
Applications
Bearing bushings, gears, sliding tracks, switches, levers, hinges, Bowden cables, electric motors, gearboxes, sunroofs, and HVAC controls.
