MOLYKOTE L-1428

Main features

  • High-Temperature Chain Lubrication
  • High-Viscosity Chain-Oil Profile
  • Rust and Anti-Wear Additives

Product Description

MOLYKOTE L-1428 High Temperature Chain Oil is a high-temperature chain oil for oiled chains operating in elevated-temperature service. Its typical kinematic viscosity is 285 cSt at 40 deg C and 24 cSt at 100 deg C, with a viscosity index of 110. The formulation uses a POE/PB base-oil system and a rust-and-oxidation/anti-wear additive package. The typical pour point is -15 deg C and the typical flash point is 470 deg F; these test values do not define an operating-temperature range.

Key features

  • Chain-Focused Formulation: The oil is for oiled chains in high-temperature service.
  • Temperature-Indexed Viscosity: Typical viscosity is 285 cSt at 40 deg C and 24 cSt at 100 deg C.
  • POE/PB Base Oil: The base-oil system includes a rust-and-oxidation and anti-wear additive package.

Applications

Oiled chains in high-temperature service.
