Product Description
MOLYKOTE L-1146FM is a high-performance food-grade ISO VG 460 PAO synthetic gear oil designed for gear and gearbox lubrication in food processing environments. Its typical kinematic viscosity is 460 cSt at 40 deg C and 39.2 cSt at 100 deg C, with a viscosity index of 152. Formulated with a robust rust-and-oxidation (R&O) and anti-wear additive package, it provides excellent gear protection and has a typical pour point of -36 deg C. As part of the current FM (Food Machinery) series, it is specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern food and beverage manufacturing applications.
Key features
- ISO VG 460 Gear Oil: Typical viscosity is 460 cSt at 40 deg C, delivering a durable lubricant film for demanding, high-viscosity gearbox applications.
- Synthetic PAO Performance: Features a high viscosity index of 152 and a pour point of -36 deg C for excellent high- and low-temperature stability.
- Food-Grade Gear Lubrication: Formulated for safe and reliable use in food-processing machinery gears and gearboxes requiring an H1 designated synthetic oil.
Applications
Gear and gearbox lubrication in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processing equipment where an ISO VG 460 synthetic food-grade oil is specified.
