Product Description

LOCTITE SI 5970C is a one-component black alkoxy RTV silicone gasketing compound for stamped sheet-metal covers, including timing covers and oil sumps. The thixotropic material requires no mixing and has typical Semco-cartridge extrusion of 40 to 80 g/min at 25 deg C under the stated test. It forms a skin within 20 minutes at 23+/-2 deg C and 50+/-5% RH. Typical cured properties include Shore A hardness 44, at least 200% elongation, and at least 1.5 N/mm2 tensile strength.
