Product Description
LOCTITE LB 8007 is a non-curing copper/graphite anti-seize lubricant for threaded and assembled components exposed to heat, seizing, and galling. The smooth copper-colored paste has 40% nonvolatile content, a typical density of 1.27 g/mL at 25 deg C, and an operating range of -29 to 982 deg C. It is applied as a thin coating to threads and flats before assembly. In the specified 12.7 mm grade 8 steel bolt and grade 5 nut test, the lubricated torque coefficient is 0.16 compared with 0.27 for solvent-cleaned unlubricated fasteners. Applications include screws, nuts, pipes, exhaust hardware, brake bolts, studs, flanges, and gaskets.
