LOCTITE EDAG 440

Main features

  • High Electrical Conductivity
  • High Coverage Efficiency
  • Room-Temperature Cure

Product Description

LOCTITE EDAG 440 AS E&C is a nickel-filled thermoplastic conductive coating designed for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) shielding in electronic equipment housings. The coating provides high electrical conductivity for EMI shielding and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection while offering high coverage, over-coatability, and improved sedimentation stability. It cures at room temperature and can be applied by spray coating to plastic housings and antenna components. Typical applications include reflective coatings on parabolic antennas and EMC shielding for consumer electronics and medical equipment enclosures.

Key features

  • High electrical conductivity: Supports EMI shielding and ESD protection in electronic enclosure applications.
  • High coverage efficiency: Delivers theoretical coverage of approximately 17 m²/kg at 10 µm coating thickness.
  • Room-temperature cure: Dries rapidly and can also be force-dried for accelerated production processing.

Applications / Suitable for

  • EMC shielding coatings for electronic equipment housings
  • Consumer electronics plastic enclosures
  • Medical equipment housings
  • Reflective coatings on parabolic antennas
