LAIRD RFRET-0

Main features

  • Lightweight Broadband Foam Absorption
  • 2-to-18-GHz Reflection Reduction
  • Flexible Multi-Method Attachment

Product Description

Eccosorb RFRET-0 is a lightweight, flexible, open-cell polyurethane broadband foam absorber for free-space reflection reduction. A reticulated urethane structure treated with a lossy coating provides a defined cell network for antenna enclosures, test chambers, broadband barriers, equipment covers, and other RF environments where low weight is important. The configurable RFRET-0 grade covers 2 to 18 GHz, has a typical density of 0.05 g/cm^3, and operates from -40 to 121 deg C. Current part records include multiple thicknesses and pressure-sensitive adhesive options, while the material can also be bonded with contact adhesive or mechanically attached to the target surface.

Key features

  • Lightweight open-cell foam: Typical density is 0.05 g/cm^3 for the reticulated polyurethane absorber.
  • 2-to-18-GHz frequency range: The configurable RFRET-0 grade covers 2 to 18 GHz.
  • Flexible attachment options: Available configurations support PSA, contact-adhesive bonding, or mechanical attachment.

Applications

Antenna reflection reduction, radome and antenna enclosures, test and anechoic chambers, broadband barriers, pedestals, and RF equipment covers.
