KANEKA GR6824
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide
Main features
- Room-Temperature Filament Winding
- High-Strain Composite Capability
- Six-Hour 140 deg F Cure
Product Description
Kaneka GR6824 is an epoxy composite resin grade for filament winding, including room-temperature winding operations. Initial viscosity is 680 cP at 77 deg F, and the cure schedule is 6 hours at 140 deg F. The cured material reaches a glass transition temperature of 163 deg F (73 deg C) and has high strain capability. This product is the epoxy resin grade only; a curing agent is not included. Its room-temperature winding use, defined cure schedule, and strain capability provide a focused processing profile for filament-wound composite parts.
Key features
- Room-temperature winding: The grade is used for filament winding at room temperature.
- High strain capability: The cured composite system is characterized by high strain capability.
- Defined cure schedule: The cure schedule is 6 hours at 140 deg F.
Applications
Filament winding and room-temperature winding of composite parts.
