KANEKA GR6820
Harmonization Code : 3907.30.00.40 | Epoxy Mold Compounds containing by weight more than 70 % silicon dioxide
Main features
- Low-Viscosity Winding and Infusion
- Extended 15-Hour Processing Window
- High-Temperature Chemical Resistance
Product Description
Kaneka GR6820 is a low-viscosity epoxy composite resin grade for winding and infusion. Initial viscosity is 390 mPa*s, while the 15-hour working life before viscosity doubles provides an extended processing window for composite fabrication. The cure uses a step-cure process. Cured-system data include a 181 deg C glass transition temperature, 139 MPa flexural strength, and 3.1 GPa flexural modulus. The grade combines high-temperature capability with chemical resistance for winding and infusion applications. This product is the epoxy resin grade only; a curing agent is not included.
Key features
- Low initial viscosity: Initial viscosity is 390 mPa*s for winding and infusion processing.
- Extended working window: Working life is 15 hours before viscosity doubles.
- High-temperature resistance: Cured-system Tg is 181 deg C with chemical-resistant application scope.
Applications
Composite winding and infusion for high-temperature, chemically resistant applications.
