EPOCAST 52

Main features

  • Graphite Composite Laminating
  • 66 to 93 deg C Vacuum-Bag Cure
  • 177 deg C Maximum Service Temperature

Product Description

EPOCAST 52 A/B is a two-part epoxy laminating system for fabrication and repair of graphite composites. The blue Part A resin and straw-colored Part B hardener mix at 100:41 by weight or 2:1 by volume, producing an amber material with typical viscosity of 5,500 cP at 25 deg C. The system supports low-temperature vacuum-bag curing, good wetting, and hot-wet strength, with service capability up to 177 deg C. Typical cure cycles are three hours at 66 deg C or two hours at 93 deg C. Qualifications include AIMS 08-01-002-01, AIMS 08-02-002-01, and SAE AMS2980.

Key features

  • Graphite Composite Laminating: The epoxy system is formulated for fabrication and repair of graphite composite structures.
  • Low-Temperature Vacuum-Bag Cure: Typical cure cycles are three hours at 66 deg C or two hours at 93 deg C.
  • Maximum Service Temperature: Maximum service temperature is 177 deg C within the stated hot-wet performance context.

Applications

Graphite-composite fabrication; composite repair; laminating; low-temperature vacuum-bag processing.
