- 1.589 Refractive Index at 589 nm
Product Description
LOCTITE ECCOBOND LUX A4021T is a one-part pale-yellow optical-grade acrylate adhesive for opto/photonics component assembly. It cures with 365 nm UV light or 470 nm blue visible light and also contains a secondary thermal cure initiator for shadowed areas. Typical viscosity is 60,000 mPa s at 25 deg C. After cure, typical linear shrinkage is 1.3%, Shore D hardness is 79, and Tg is 112 deg C. Refractive index ranges from 1.589 at 589 nm to 1.565 at 1,550 nm, with intrinsic loss below 1.1 dB/cm at 1,320 nm.
Key features
- 365 nm UV, 470 nm Visible, and Heat Cure: The single-pack adhesive also includes secondary thermal cure for shadowed areas.
- 1.3% Linear Cure Shrinkage: The value is reported for the cured optical-grade adhesive.
- 1.589 Refractive Index at 589 nm: Typical refractive index decreases to 1.565 at 1,550 nm.
Applications
Opto/photonics component assembly; transmitter and receiver packaging; optical interconnects; ball-lens mounting.
