BOSTIK LADH1231

Main features

  • Fast-Drying Spray Application
  • Green Strength with Creep Resistance
  • Pressure and Vacuum Forming

Product Description

Bostik LADH1231 is a one-component solvent-based liquid adhesive for automotive interior-trim assembly. The medium-viscosity tan adhesive is sprayable and designed for pressure bonding and vacuum forming. It bonds fabric, nonwoven materials, and polyolefin foam to fiberboard, ABS, and unprimed polypropylene within automotive interior-trim applications. The formulation combines fast dry time with green strength and creep resistance for formed and pressure-bonded interior components that must be handled through the assembly process.

Key features

  • Fast spray processing: Sprayable liquid with fast dry time for automotive interior-trim assembly.
  • Green strength and creep resistance: Formulation combines green strength with creep resistance for interior-trim bonding.
  • Pressure and vacuum forming: Designed for pressure-bonding and vacuum-forming applications.

Applications

Pressure- and vacuum-forming of fabric, nonwoven materials, and polyolefin foam to fiberboard, ABS, and unprimed polypropylene in automotive interiors.

Thermal Properties
Flash Point
The flashpoint of a solvent is the lowest possible temperature at which it can vaporize to form an ignitable vapor. Flashpoint is often confused with “autoignition temperature”, which is the temperature at which a solvent ignites without an ignition source.
-28 °C
Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application
