BOSTIK 70-07A

Main features

  • Adjustable Spray-Texture Application
  • Elastic from -40 to 100 deg C
  • Primerless Adhesion on Listed Substrates

Product Description

Bostik 70-07A is a single-component, sprayable SMP seam sealant for welded, overlap, and construction seams. The solvent-free material produces an adjustable spray structure, with application texture controlled through air pressure and nozzle setting, and is designed for sprayable repair and seam-sealing work. It develops adhesion to a documented set of metal, glass, PVC, polyester/GRP, and coated surfaces without primer, while untreated PE, PP, and PTFE are excluded. After cure, the sealant remains permanently elastic across a documented -40 to 100 deg C temperature range and can also be used for selected vibration-reducing coating applications.

Key features

  • Adjustable Spray Texture: Air pressure and nozzle settings can be adjusted to produce rough or fine spray structure.
  • Primerless Listed-Substrate Adhesion: Adheres to multiple documented metals, glass, PVC, polyester/GRP, and coated surfaces without primer.
  • Elastic Cured Performance: The cured sealant remains permanently elastic across the documented -40 to 100 deg C range.

Applications

Sprayable sealing of welded, overlap, and construction seams; selected seam-repair and vibration-reducing coating applications within the documented process scope.

Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.

Mechanical Properties
Elongation
Elongation is the process of lengthening something. It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks. It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break.
ca. 17 %
Thermal Properties
Temperature Resistance
Temperature resistance is the maximum temperature that the material or product can withstand for a period of time. The temperatures listed should be considered as guidelines for an operating temperature of about 30 minutes. Typically, the material can withstand much longer times at temperatures about 20°C lower and can withstand much higher temperatures for short, intermittent times.
-40°C to 100 ˚C
