ARALDITE 2035

Main features

  • Up to 204 deg C Service
  • 2:1 Volumetric Mix Ratio
  • 5500 psi Lap Shear

Product Description

ARALDITE 2035 A/B is an extrudable, two-component, room-temperature-curing epoxy structural adhesive for metals, composites and dissimilar-material bonding. It uses a 2:1 volumetric mix ratio for cartridge or meter-mix dispensing and has a 40-minute gel time at 25 deg C for a 100 g mass. The adhesive is designed for service temperatures up to 204 deg C and contains 0.005 in spacer beads. On anodized and primed Aluminum 2024 T3 clad, tensile lap shear is 5500 psi at 25 deg C after a 1-hour cure at 66 deg C under ASTM D1002. Applications include transportation, oil and gas, and general industrial bonding.

Component System
Describes the number of components that must be supplied, mixed, or activated before application or cure.
Two Part: Resin (A) | Hardener (B)
Thermal Properties
Glass Transition Temperature (Tg)
The glass transition temperature for organic adhesives is a temperature region where the polymers change from glassy and brittle to soft and rubbery. Increasing the temperature further continues the softening process as the viscosity drops too. Temperatures between the glass transition temperature and below the decomposition point of the adhesive are the best region for bonding. The glass-transition temperature Tg of a material characterizes the range of temperatures over which this glass transition occurs.
120 °C
Thermal Conductivity
Thermal conductivity describes the ability of a material to conduct heat. It is required by power packages in order to dissipate heat and maintain stable electrical performance. Thermal conductivity units are [W/(m K)] in the SI system and [Btu/(hr ft °F)] in the Imperial system.
